Rob Riley, real estate agent with the Gerspacher Real Estate Group, Inc., has recently earned the designation of Licensed Auctioneer. To be licensed in Ohio, an auctioneer must first attend an approved auction school, serve a full year as an apprentice, and act as a bid caller in twelve auctions before applying for an auctioneer license. The applicant must then take and pass written and verbal examinations prior to receiving a license. Real estate auctioneers must also be licensed real estate agents or brokers. The State of Ohio auctioneer licensing program is overseen by the Department of Agriculture.
“Gerspacher Real Estate Group, Inc. is pleased to be able to add auctioneering to our full line of real estate services”, said Troy Gerspacher, owner and broker. “There are several benefits to the auction method of selling real estate,” he added. “Buyers come prepared to buy, it accelerates the sale of property, it creates competition among buyers, it takes the seller out of the negotiation process, and it ensures an aggressive marketing campaign that increases interest and visibility for the property.”
Riley has been with the Gerspacher agency since the spring of 2008 and is also the owner and president of Allison Carole Properties, Inc. and Allison Woods, Inc. He is the former owner of Contractor Cabinets, Inc. in Brunswick. He has also recently earned the designations of Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE) and Property Management Specialist (PMSD).
The Gerspacher Real Estate Group, Inc. focuses on commercial and industrial real estate sales and leasing. They are located at 113 West Liberty Street, Medina and can be reached at 800.288.6136.
