James Gerspacher of the Gerspacher Real Estate Group represented the owners in the sale of a portion of the historic Bennet Lumber Company site, founded by Homer Bennett, at 342 East Smith Road. The buyer is Habitat for Humanity of Medina County. The large retail store, three small cold storage buildings and approximately 2.5 acres will become the new home of the Habitat offices and its retail store, currently located on Chippewa Road. The Habitat ReStore is a retail building materials sales center that is open to the public. The Restore receives donations of new, and like new, usable materials from local builders and retail establishments and is able to offer these materials to the public at a fraction of their retail price. They also accept donated items from individuals for resale.
